Our team collaborated with a PI at the Comparative Medicine Institue through NC State. We determined available funding sources, analyzed the competitive landscape, and suggested key partnerships. The project culminated with a presentation of our findings and preparation of an executive summary.

Moving into Metaproteomics: Using Microbiome Analysis to Help Deliver Targeted Solutions
Our team collaborated with a PI at NC State who was interested in expanding his research with metaproteomics into a possible business venture. Our team analyzed the market for a metaproteomics service model by conducting a voice of customer campaign, developing a complex competitor portfolio, and identifying possible funding sources.

Swine Surveillance: An Analysis of Porcine Pandemic Prevention Technologies
Our team worked with a PI to evaluate the competitive advantage of RABapp technology, which provides clients with farm biosecurity plans and helps regulatory agencies harmonize effective response and recovery strategies to reduce the possibility of disease outbreaks. We analyzed the competitive landscape of the technology platform, evaluated opportunities for additional pathogen detection, and discussed potential expansion into other livestock.

Trends in Bioplastics: A Review of Single-Use Plastic Alternatives and Implementation Strategies
Over twelve billion tons of plastic are expected to sit in landfills by 2050. With approximately half of the total plastic production deriving from single-use plastics, it becomes abundantly clear that evaluating strategies for reducing the use of these disposables is a critical component in moving towards a more sustainable future.
